In movies and books (really anytime you’re telling a story) the audience needs to know what the happy ending can look like. We’re rooting for that to happen the whole time. When it comes to creating this messaging in your marketing, you need to cast a vision for a happy ending for your customer.
What this post is really all about is success. (Read Story Strategy Element 7: Success to learn more.) This is the final element to how you’re going to set up your brand to tell a compelling story to your audience. First, you started by identifying who your CHARACTER (customer) was and what they want. Then you identified the PROBLEMS they’re experiencing(external, internal, and philosophical). They we positioned ourselves as the GUIDE who helps them overcome those problems. We gave them a clear and simple PLAN. We CALLED them TO ACTION. We gave them a glimpse at what FAILURE could look like if they didn’t act and purchase from us. Now, we’re showing them the light at the end of the tunnel; SUCCESS.
Success is all about showing them what their life is like after they’ve bought your product/service. When it comes to creating this messaging in your marketing, you need to create a vision for this happy ending for your customer.
